Arthur Hufnagle Library Artisan Holiday Show Glen Rock

In mid-November, I joined a number of other talented artists & craftsmen displaying work at the Arthur Hufnagle Library Artisan Holiday Show, Glen Rock. The show includes paintings, prints, pottery & jewelry and continues through December 29, 2011. Stop in and see some great gift ideas.

Display at Brown's Orchard

September & October was a medium-sized display of paintings & giclee prints in Brown's Brown Bag Lunch Room. Sue Myers was a great help hanging the exhibit. She handled especially well my group of iris paintings. They had a reception on the last Friday of September. Live music was going in the Brown Bean Cafe. A couple from the DC metro area came in to buy apples & chose 5 of the 6 iris paintings. Quite a thrill!

Artisan Marketplace of Adams County

The Artisan Marketplace of Adams County will take place October 1-30, 2010, at Gunnar Galleries, Gettysburg. Ten of my paintings will be shown along with many other artist's & crafter's creations during the month of October. Meet the artists on Friday Oct. 1, 6-9pm and Saturday Oct. 2, noon-3pm. Mt Gretna Show August 21-22, 2010

2010 marks the 36th year for the Mt Gretna Outdoor Art Show, which will be held Saturday & Sunday August 21 & 22. I consider it a topnotch show & plan to apply in 2011. Several times in the late 80s & early 90s my work was part of the show in this quaint, artsy community & the enthusiastic crowds made it quite worthwhile. Parking is always a challenge but there is a field in which to leave your car & possibly a shuttle so you don't walk your legs off before you pay for admission. FYI: There had been a maverick show sprouting in a field adjacent to the parking area. The quality of most of the crafts was inferior to the official show vendors. I wonder if the maverick display pops up annually, like mushrooms after rain...

Entry Accepted into LVC Juried Show

My recent painting... "Abalone and Pearls" was accepted into the Lebanon Valley College Juried Art Show. The reception will be held on Friday April 30, 2010 from 5-7 pm in the Suzanne H. Arnold Art Gallery http://www.lvc.edu/juried-art/ There is generally a cross-section of artistic styles in this show and I am delighted to represent the realistic genre.

Lebanon Valley College Juried Art Show

Lebanon Valley College Annual Juried Exhibit will be held in April. Each artist may enter up to four pieces and I am using the deadline as motivation to finish several new paintings. Pictured is my entry, "Beginning of Knowledge", which was accepted for the 2009 show.

Animal Art Exhibit at Schuler School, Balto.

Schuler School of Fine Art, Baltimore, MD, is holding an Animal Art Competition entitled "From Fur to Feathers" with a display of the entries open to the public April 17-25.
